I was right where you might be now. Nothing had changed in my diet or lifestyle, but the weight was creeping up for no good reason. It felt out of control & I couldn't seem to stop it. To add insult to injury, this all transpired during my studies for nutrition certification.
Feeling dejected about what was going on in my own body and unhappy with how I looked & felt, I knew changes were needed, I just didn't know what.
Certain there was a strong correlation with perimenopause, I took a deep dive into how our hormones affect us and, more importantly, what could be done about it! Furthering my studies with a hormonal focus, I learned that strategic diet modifications, shifts in exercise, and the importance of sleep & stress management would all help to balance hormones and get to a happier, healthier place.
By putting this knowledge into practice, the weight came off, the sleep improved, & anxiety diminished. As a result, I'm happily at a sustainable place with weight, improved energy levels & mood, and an overall return to my old self.
